Fiserv CBS Worldwide Signs Banco Fácil for Core and CRM Solutions

May 23, 2007

Fiserv CBS Worldwide today announced that Banco Facil, the new banking unit of Sherman Financial Group, a leading U.S. financial company, and Grupo Comercial Chedraui, a large Mexican retailer, has selected the Fiserv CBS Worldwide International Comprehensive Banking System (ICBS) as its core banking solution and Fiserv Aperio for business process management and customer relationship management (CRM).

Fiserv ICBS was selected because of its reputation for delivering large scale projects on time and within budget, its process-oriented technology, universal functionality and strong references, particularly with banks requiring deep functionality.

Sadi Lara, president of Banco Facil, said, "We were looking for a flexible and process-oriented solution and found the Fiserv customer interaction management solution, Fiserv Aperio, along with the ICBS core solution to be exactly what we needed. Banco Facil will have unique processes and front-end services for CRM thanks to the Fiserv solutions, which will provide us with the technology we require to execute our business strategy and achieve our plans."

Banco Facil's branches will be located inside the Grupo Chedraui stores throughout Mexico and in other locations outside the stores. The bank will offer a wide range of products and services through multiple delivery channels via Fiserv Aperio. When implementation is completed in the fall, Fiserv ICBS is expected to improve back office efficiencies with a cost effective platform and robust functionality processing 1 million accounts and supporting more than 100 branches. Fiserv will also provide the bank with treasury, securities administration, anti-money laundering and internet banking functionalities.

Dan Alf, managing director, Latin America, Canada and the Caribbean, Fiserv CBS Worldwide, said, "We continue to experience success in Mexico and Latin America. Banco Facil's selection of Fiserv is a confirmation that our product strategy is meeting the needs of the region and that our clients clearly see it as a competitive advantage. We are proud to be Banco Facil's technology partner."
